Summer Workshops

In the summer, we offer specialized workshops in a variety of interests, ages, and acting levels. All of our summer sessions are taught by certified teaching and theatre professionals who make every class engaging and fun!

We have a wide range of workshops available this summer — everything from one-day makeup intensives to month-long improv classes!

2025 Summer Workshop Offerings

    Club Improv for Teens & Tweens

    Ages: 11 — 17 years                                                             
    Dates: June 3 — 26, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm 
    Performance: June 26 @ 6:15 pm, Debut Theatre Black Box

    Tuition: $240   


    In this fun month-long class, students will learn the rules and techniques of improvisation to inspire spontaneity. Each class will consist of playing improv games, exploring improv activities, learning to work together, and will end in a performance for family. No previous experience required. No pre-scripted material! The fun grows from the humor of the group. Show up, play games, and build a good ol’ theater community!

    Blood and Gore Makeup Mini Workshop

    Ages: 11-17                                                 
    Dates: June 10 from 12 pm - 3 pm
    Instructor:  Robyn Krause
    Tuition: $45  


    Want to create realistic stab wounds, third-degree burns, bruises, and more? Check out our one-day workshop on special effects makeup! You’ll learn how to make believable prosthetic wounds and work with stage blood. Please let us know when registering if there are any latex allergies.

    Improv Bootcamp for Kids

    Age: 7 – 10 years  
    Dates: June 16 — 20, Monday – Friday; 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

  • Theatre for Tiny Humans  

    Age: 5 — 7 years
    Dates: June 23 — 27, Monday – Friday; 9:00 am to 11:30 am 
    Performance: June 14 @ 11:30 am, Debut Theatre Black Box

    Hands on theatre for the littles including mask making, painting, dancing, singing, and improv games! Super fun introduction to theatre with a small showcase for family and friends on Friday!

  • Makeup Mania

    Ages: 7-17                                                             
    Dates: July 9 — 11, Wednesday — Friday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
    Showcase: July 12 from 10:00 am — 12:00 pm

    Tuition: $165                                                                             
    Putting on makeup is not only fun, but it’s an essential skill for every actor! This four-day class will focus on basic theatre makeup, old-age techniques, and creating believable prosthetic wounds. The fourth class will be held on Saturday from 10 AM – 12 PM and will be a showcase walkthrough for families. Please let us know when registering if there are any latex allergies. Students are expected to provide a basic Ben Nye makeup kit, which can be purchased in-town at Life of the Party or online for $26.

  • The Big Three: Monologues, Scenes, and Auditions… Oh My!  

    Age: 11 – 17 years  
    Dates: July 28 — August 1, Monday—Friday; 10:30 am to 12:30 pm 
    Performance: August 1 @ 12:30 pm, Debut Theatre Black Box
    Instructor: Kaleb Hacker 
    Tuition: $155 

    Actors will spend the week working on technique around audition preparation, one on one monologue coaching, and scene work with other actors! The workshop will also allow actors to design costumes for their monologues/scenes for the final showcase. This workshop is geared for young actors learning to take the next step in harnessing their craft. Actors will perform in a showcase with monologues and scene work for family and friends at the end of the week!
