Cori Hixon
Office Director
Directing Since: 2025
A Fort Collins native, Cori spent 30 years in education as a teacher and administrator at the high school level. She earned her BA, MA, and PhD in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University—proof that you really can go home again (and again!) when it’s a place that values both learning and the arts. At Poudre High School, she led the International Baccalaureate program and taught English, Social Studies, and Humanities.
Cori grew up in an artistic family, dancing ballet for 20 years, attending performances at the Lincoln Center, and supporting local non-profit arts groups. She’s no stranger to the creative energy (and occasional chaos!) of performing arts and brings a wealth of experience in organization, communication, and collaboration to everything she does.
A lifelong learner, Cori is also a certified yoga instructor, self-published author, and member of the Grant Professionals Association. She and her husband—both proud Fort Collins natives—value the role the arts play in creating vibrant communities. They’re grateful that both of their daughters share an appreciation for the performing arts and the joy they bring to everyday life.
